Jonathan Javid, Au.D.

Jonathan Javid, Au.D., is a dedicated full-time Audiologist with extensive experience in fitting thousands of pairs of hearing aids. He is passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. In addition to his clinical work, Jonathan is the founder of Hearing Insider, a widely recognized online resource that provides valuable information and assistance to individuals seeking help with hearing-related issues.

Jonathan’s journey into audiology began after returning from a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spain. With the guidance of his sister, who was completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, he discovered his calling in audiology. Drawn to the medical field and the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives, Jonathan pursued a major in Communication Disorders at Brigham Young University (BYU), setting the foundation for his future as an audiologist.

After graduating from BYU in 2008, Jonathan was accepted into four Doctorate of Audiology programs and decided to attend Northern Illinois University due to its proximity to his home and the assistantship they offered. Following the completion of his doctorate, he embarked on a yearlong internship at the Puget Sound VA Medical Center, where he developed a deep admiration for working with veterans and providing them with advanced hearing aid solutions.

Motivated by a desire to make a broader impact and embrace the changing landscape of audiology and healthcare, Jonathan embarked on several entrepreneurial ventures alongside his work at the VA. He started AudiologySupplies.com, a dropship retail site aimed at offering better pricing on audiology-focused products. While this endeavor did not achieve the desired success, it paved the way for his next project.

Recognizing the growing demand for hearing aid information and the advent of over-the-counter hearing aid products, Jonathan launched HearReview.com. However, after six months of dedicated work, he realized that a more effective approach was to address common questions and problems people encountered with hearing aids and hearing loss. This shift led to the creation of HearingInsider.com, a valuable resource accessible to anyone worldwide seeking guidance and support in the realm of hearing health.

Jonathan’s ultimate goal is to bring joy and success to individuals with hearing aids, whether through his clinical practice or by helping anonymous individuals across the globe. He finds fulfillment in contributing to their improved quality of life and fostering better communication with loved ones.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Jonathan embraces the joys of family life. He resides in the vibrant town of Vineyard, Utah, with his loving wife and four children. His commitment to his family is unwavering, and he cherishes every moment spent with them. Jonathan is an avid consumer of audiobooks and podcasts, finding solace in the car during his daily commute. He particularly enjoys autobiographies and fantasy books that resonate with his children.

Jonathan and his wife’s journey started at Brigham Young University, where their friendship blossomed into a profound connection. After a summer of being inseparable, they realized their deep affection and decided to tie the knot. Their marriage of over 12 years has taken them across various states, including Illinois, Washington, Las Vegas, and now Utah. Despite the challenges along the way, they have remained committed to each other and are grateful for the beautiful family they have created.

As devoted members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jonathan and his wife find spiritual fulfillment and draw strength from their faith. They actively serve the church and view it as the guiding force in their lives. Additionally, they made the decision to homeschool their children, initially against their reservations. Through prayer and thoughtful consideration, they found fulfillment and joy in this educational path.

Jonathan’s personal story reflects a down-to-earth individual who finds immense joy in simple pleasures. He relishes the opportunity to ski with his children during winter and enjoys leisurely walks around Utah Lake in the evenings. While he has already accomplished remarkable milestones, such as earning a doctorate degree and reading the entire Bible, he continues to strive toward new aspirations.
