  2. Power your hearing aids off (see sections below if needed).
  3. Turn the hearing aids back on.
  4. Open Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices.
  5. Wait up to one minute for your aids to appear.
  6. Confirm it shows (R+L) so both right and left are ready.
  7. Tap the device name and follow prompts to connect.
  8. Tip: If nothing appears, restart the aids again—pairing mode times out after ~2 minutes.

Pairing to an Android Phone (via Oticon Companion)

Install the Oticon Companion App, open it, and follow the in-app pairing steps. Many recent Android phones support direct streaming (ASHA). If your phone does not, you may still use the app for controls even if audio streaming is limited.

Changing Wax Guards on Oticon Hearing Aids

Oticon uses two similar wax filter systems: ProWax and ProWax MiniFit. They work the same but differ in diameter and are not interchangeable.

  • ProWax MiniFit — most RIC/RITE with domes
  • ProWax — most custom earmolds

If you’re unsure which you have, compare the fit or check with your audiologist.

How to Change ProWax / ProWax MiniFit

  1. Remove a new two-sided applicator from the pack.
  2. Insert the empty side into the old wax filter and pull to remove it.
  3. Flip the tool and press the loaded side (new filter) into the receiver opening.
  4. Pull the tool straight out and discard it.
